The availability of filing an application for the grant of a residence permit (Golden Visa program) through a proxy, without the obligation to previously having entered Greece, is already provided to third country citizens. In such a case, a notarial power of attorney is required, which must be executed at the country of residence of the interested party before the local Greek Consular Authority. The interested party will have to enter Greece within a period of 12 months following the date of filing his/her application and receiving the relevant confirmation regarding such filing, so as to submit the biometric data as required by law.
